Escaneo — Document Scanner with OCR
1. Introduction
Escaneo ("the App") is a mobile application developed by nezdev ("we", "our") that allows users to scan documents, recognize text via OCR, and export files as PDF, JPG, or TXT on their iOS and Android devices. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App.
By downloading, installing, or using Escaneo, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect personally identifiable data. No name, email, phone number, or identity data is requested.
- We do not create user accounts. The App works without registration.
- We do not send your scanned documents, photos, or extracted text to any server. All processing occurs exclusively on your device.
- We do not store data in the cloud. We do not operate servers or databases containing user information.
- We do not track your location.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties.
3. Information We Process Locally
3.1 Camera
- The App accesses your camera to capture document images for scanning.
- Camera data is processed on-device for edge detection, perspective correction, and image enhancement.
- No camera data is transmitted externally.
3.2 OCR Text Recognition
- The App uses on-device OCR to extract text from scanned documents.
- All text recognition processing happens locally on your device.
- Extracted text is stored only in the exported file you choose to save.
3.3 Storage
- The App saves scanned documents (PDF, JPG, TXT) to your device storage when you choose to export.
- It does not access or read files from other applications.
3.4 Internal Usage Data
- Anonymous session statistics (number of scans, exports) are stored exclusively on your device via local storage.
- This data is never transmitted externally.

You can revoke any permission at any time from your device settings.
5. Third-Party Services
5.1 Google AdMob (Advertising)
- Displays ads in the free version. Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data.

5.2 RevenueCat (Subscription Management)
- Manages in-app purchases and Escaneo Premium subscriptions.

5.3 Apple App Store / Google Play Store
- In-app purchases are processed through each platform's official payment systems.
- nezdev does not have access to credit card data or user financial information.
6. Children's Privacy
Escaneo is not directed at children under 13. We do not intentionally collect information from minors. Contact us at support@nezdev.tech if you believe a child has provided information.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
- Local data: All scanned documents and preferences are stored on your device. Uninstalling the App deletes all app data.
- Exported files: Documents you export to your device storage remain until you manually delete them.
- Third-party data: Data collected by AdMob and RevenueCat is subject to their retention policies.
8. Security
- All scanning, OCR, and document processing occurs on-device.
- We do not transmit sensitive data over networks.
- Purchases are processed through Apple and Google's secure channels.
9. International Data Transfer
nezdev does not transfer personal data to international servers. Third-party services (AdMob, RevenueCat) may process data on servers outside your country, subject to their own privacy policies.
10. Your Rights
- Access: Request information about processed data.
- Deletion: Delete all local data by uninstalling the App.
- Permission revocation: Revoke permissions from device settings.
- Opt-out of personalized ads: Adjust ad settings in your device settings.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy at any time. Changes will be posted with a new "last updated" date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
