1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using ClariCode ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you ("the User") and nezdev ("we", "the Developer"), the creator and owner of the App.
2. Description of Service
ClariCode is a QR code and barcode utility for Android devices that allows you to:
- Scan QR codes and barcodes using your device camera
- Generate QR codes for URLs, text, contacts, Wi-Fi, and more
- Generate barcodes in multiple standard formats
- Save and manage a history of scanned and generated codes
- Share scan results and generated codes
The App processes all information locally on the User's device, without sending data to external servers.
3. User-Generated Content — Disclaimer
IMPORTANT NOTICE: ClariCode allows you to generate QR codes and barcodes containing arbitrary data. You are solely responsible for the content encoded in any code you create.
- Do not use ClariCode to create codes linking to malicious, illegal, harmful, or offensive content.
- nezdev is not responsible for the content of codes generated by users.
- nezdev is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or safety of codes you scan. Always exercise caution before opening URLs from unknown QR codes.
4. Scanning Accuracy — Limitations
- ClariCode uses industry-standard decoding libraries that operate with a high degree of accuracy but are not infallible.
- The App may occasionally fail to decode a valid code due to poor lighting, camera quality, code damage, or other environmental factors.
- nezdev does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of scan results. The User should verify critical information obtained from scanned codes.
5. Free and Premium Versions
5.1 Free Version
The free version of ClariCode includes full functionality with advertisements. Some features may have usage limits.
5.2 Ad-Free / Premium (if applicable)
ClariCode may offer an ad-free experience or premium features via in-app purchase through Google Play Store.
5.3 Payment Processing
- All payments are processed through Google Play Store.
- nezdev does not have access to User payment information.
- Refund requests must be directed to Google per their policies.
6. Intellectual Property
- The App, including its source code, design, logos, iconography, text, and documentation, is the exclusive property of nezdev.
- The User is granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App solely for personal and non-commercial use.
- The User may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, or reverse-engineer the App or any part of it.
7. User Conduct
The User agrees to:
- Use the App only for its intended purposes.
- Not generate QR codes or barcodes for illegal, malicious, or harmful purposes.
- Not attempt to access restricted features through unauthorized methods.
- Not attempt to bypass free version restrictions or ad-display mechanisms.
8. Service Availability
- nezdev strives to keep the App operational but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
- The App may experience interruptions due to updates, maintenance, or operating system changes.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time, with or without prior notice.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, nezdev expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement of third-party rights
- Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of scan results
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
- nezdev, its directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or scan history
- Actions taken based on scanned code content (e.g., visiting malicious URLs)
- Damage to device or software
- Any other intangible damages
- nezdev's total cumulative liability to the User for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the total amount paid by the User to nezdev in the past 12 months, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.
11. Indemnification
The User agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless nezdev, its directors, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, liability, cost, or expense arising from:
- The User's use or misuse of the App
- Content generated or distributed using the App
- The User's violation of these Terms
- The User's violation of third-party rights
12. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately after posting on this page. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Termination
- nezdev may suspend or terminate the User's access to the App at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.
- The User may terminate this agreement by ceasing to use and uninstalling the App.
- Sections 3, 9, 10, and 11 survive the termination of these Terms.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws in the Developer's jurisdiction. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of said jurisdiction.
15. General Provisions
- Severability: If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
- Waiver: Failure to exercise any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the User and nezdev regarding the App.
